 Cho Oyu is the sixth highest mountain in the world, located a short distance to the west from Everest and Lhotse in the Khumbu region of Eastern Nepal along the Tibetan border. Its towering peak stands with Everest well above the surrounding mountains. It became a familiar landmark to climbers ascending Everest’s north face. West from Cho Oyu is Nangpa La, the main trading route between Solu Khumbu and Tibet.

Day 07: Rest day for acclimatization.
Day 08: Trek to Dole (4,200 m), O/N in tent
Day 09: Trek to Macchermo (4,410m). O/N in tent
Day 10: Trek to Gokyo Lake (4,750 m). O/N in tent
Day 11: Rest day at Gokyo for acclimatization.
Day 12: Trek to Ngozumba Tso
Day 13: Trek to Cho-Oyu Base Camp
Day 14-43: Climbing period
Day 44: Cleaning up Base Camp
