Naya Kanga, also called Ganja-la Chuli, is magnificently situated in the rarely visited Langtang region of Nepal. Its accessibility makes it an ideal choice of venue for a short visit to the Himalayas, allowing the climber to experience some superb mountaineering, all in a little under 3 weeks. The normal route to this peak is via the snowy north-east ridge. It is not yet clear who climbed this summit first. The most important reward of climbing Naya Kanga is the spectacular view of mountains in or near Tibet.
It is the fifteenth highest trekking peek in Nepal. It was formally known as kanga chuli. It is situated in the southern flank of langtang region of Nepal and towering over the south of alpine langtang valley and holy lakes of Gosainkunda. The normal route to this peak is via the snowy northeast ridge over a line on ice and snow. The trip starts either from Dhunche or Syabru Bensi. From Dhunche the trail goes slowly up to the Kyangjin Gompa, a famous Buddhist monastery and continues up the base camp crossing kangala (4510m), one of the strenuous high mountain passes.
