 This is the third most popular trekking zone in
Nepal that lies in the northeast of Kathmandu.
Trekking to this zone offers the opportunity to
explore Tamang villages, baffling extremes in
topography with vibrant climatic conditions and
to climb small peaks at a comfortably low elevation.
Much of the trekking trail passes through semi
tropical forests where moss covers the ground
and orchids cling to tree trunks. The Gosainkunda
Lake situated in the zone is a much- revered holy
lake for Hindus and Buddhists.
